Ways To Promote Your Content For Absolute Free
Does the YouTube algorithm hate you? Maybe.
If you're not getting a lot of views on your content or channel yet, it may be because you are not using all the tools out there to promote your content.
Trust me. I feel your pain. While my big YouTube channel has over 250k+ subscribers, my newest channel only has 650. So what am I doing to grow my new channel and get some momentum behind it?
Check out the video below to see the free resources you can use to grow your YouTube channel.
Use Social Media.
Whether it's Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok or whatever, are you using free social media to promote your content. Joining groups on Facebook can be a great way to promote your content. But don't spam. Read the rules and make sure you can post educational content.
Don't Ignore Reddit.
While I no longer use Reddit for my guitar channel, you can bet I am using it again for my new channel. When you only get 50-100 views on your videos, adding an additional 25 is a lot. While 25 extra viewers may seem like small potatoes, you have to start celebrating these small wins.
Mailing Lists.
Even if you're mailing list is small, use it! Whether you have 50, 100 or 200 subscribers, shoot them out an email about your latest video release. How are they supposed to support you and your content if they don't know.
Website.
The holy grail. I know a lot of people think websites are dead, but until Google Search dies, websites are here to stay. You need to get a piece of that organic action. Posting content regularly to your website can help with growth. If you embed your videos on your web pages, it will drive traffic to your YouTube channel.
