How Long Does It Take To Go Full-Time On Youtube
If you are just getting started with YouTube and wondering how long it's going to take to quit your job, then you NEED to read this article and watch my journey video below.
Let me start off by saying, if you think you will be successful on YouTube in the next 90 days, then you really need to lower your expectations.
YouTube is a long game play. This means you may not reap the true benefits of what you are doing today until 2-5 years down the road.
In the video below, I show you my journey from making $0 in 2017 to making multiple six-figures in 2021. I would say that the wait was well worth it.
The great thing about the above video is that I really dive into the details of how many videos I uploaded, how many subscribers and views I was getting and where my revenue streams were coming from. You may find it crazy to learn that the thing that helped me go full-time on YouTube sooner was not YouTube Ad revenue.
The Bottom Line:
When it comes to going full-time on YouTube, you need to understand that you are going to need to upload about 40-50 videos for YouTube to even figure out what your channel is about and who your audience is.
Depending on how fast you can bust it out, that could be a year or two years as it was in my case.
Most real-world business take 2-3 years to turn a profit. with the right content and monetization strategy YouTube can start off by paying a few bills here and there, then your car payment, then your rent and then your entire lifestyle.
My best advice on the YouTube journey is to make sure to celebrate every little win along the way.
